Rental Kart Parts was founded by Jarrod Smith when the opportunity presented to purchase the Australian & New Zealand distribution rights to the increasingly popular MaxPower brand of rental kart tyres. Jarrod has a strong background in Karting having spent years working closely with Drew Price at DP Engineering, before moving to North Carolina to spend some time in the heart of Race City USA with KartSport North America.
After returning from working in the USA and Europe, Jarrod established an online action sports store that specializes in the supply of leading brands for bikes, dirt bikes, karting, surf, skate, snow and more. A chance meeting with former colleague and friend, George Turton of SodiKart Australasia resulted in the opportunity to purchase the distribution rights and Australian stock of MaxPower tyres.
With an already established warehouse and distribution process in place via Jarrod and his business partners online action sports store, Adrenaline Empire. Plus a background and enjoyment of kart racing, it made perfect sense for Jarrod and his team to get back into the industry. When asked about the reasons why, Jarrod said “with the opportunity to be involved with such a strong brand like MaxPower it was something too good to pass up. We’ve had some of the biggest hire kart tracks in the country use our tyres and tell us they’re impressed with how even the wear is and are genuinely surprised at just how good these tyres are, value wise I don’t think they can be beat.”
